Hadiya — Cushitic highland people; also Kambata and Silt'e neighbors
Hosanna (Hosaena) is the cultural and administrative heart of the Hadiya people in central Ethiopia's highlands, about 230 km south of Addis Ababa. Known for its lively Saturday market, false banana (enset) cuisine, vibrant Hadiya wedding songs and dances, and a strong Protestant and Orthodox Christian heritage. The city sits at over 2,300 m, with cool weather and rolling green farmland.
